The famous Wool Bliss woollen mattress pad was developed 35 years ago, and we even today we get the occasional customer tell us they’re still using the same one they’ve had for three decades!
Wool Bliss has developed a special blend of wool that gives maximum support and comfort, with durability and performance. Our blend is composed of Merino and Downs breeds - merino wool alone does not have the durability and strength of the downs wool. And not only is our wool grown in New Zealand and Australia - but just as importantly, it’s processed there as well.
All our wool is fleece – the best wool - from the sheep's back, not the skirting wool from the belly, or dirty wool that’s been bleached. And importantly, the wool used in a Wool Bliss mattress pad has only been washed or scoured, it has not been treated with chemicals.

The average person loses half a litre of water every day through perspiration and the respiratory system, much of that is during the night.
The wool fibres keep pockets of air close to your body, in a tiny micro-environment. The fibres then disperse heat and moisture from your body, helping to give you a better night’s sleep.
The fibres of wool allow moisture to pass through without the wool itself becoming damp. Your Wool Bliss underlay will help keep mould and mildew from developing and keeping you nice and dry. This of course is particularly important for people who have allergies.
